Thank you so much, Jen, for “hosting” me in your Substack home! I loved your post about creativity so much and was so excited to share my own thoughts on the topic. I think creativity is one of the secret sources of happiness, who doesn’t feel better after making something, even if it’s just a batch of cookies?? I am so glad you started this series and even happier than we’ve found each other via our newsletter. I’m so grateful to/for you!

I'm grateful for YOU. This collab could not have come at a better time & every time I saw 'Lindsay Sword' pop up in my inbox- those were definitely the most fun moments of my week. Did you see how I changed the header from purple to red? I think Abercrombie might be right about purple "not being preppy" although I still say there's a challenge lurking behind that statement....and it involves the next set of twins I hope are on the horizon!! 🦄🦄

My mornings have gotten so much more fun with posts! I did, and as much as I too love those SVH twins, I secretly felt better about the red too 😂😂😂 but we’re going to figure out purple!!

Love seeing that a rom-com might be in your future, Lindsay ... I can absolutely imagine this, and equally important, envision the costuming for the characters.

Thank you, Christine! Your writing journey is an inspiration for me! (And yes, I might be partially motivated by all the costume possibilities!)

Thanks Jen and Lindsay. I loved reading this. I especially liked your thoughts about creativity being an essential part of contentment. And flow being a state where you are completely in the present. So good x

Thank you, Jennie! I’m always on the lookout for that flow state. Making something seems to be the surest way I find it, and skiing!

Lindsay and Jennifer in one place; two of the friendliness names, faces, authors on Substack. This was a treat!! I resonanted so much with Lindsay’s words about creative outlets and the way I have sought them my whole life. SS really is a natural progression towards adult creativity.

Jen is the best! I think the world would be such a better place if the grown-ups had more creative outlets. I’m so glad I found this one and all of you!

Awww thanks friends. 🤗

I really enjoyed getting to know Lindsay better here. I also put all my newsletter ideas into notes. I related to so much of what she said - writing once a week, the creative outlet of hosting a Substack, the great supportive community! I’ve learned so much about fashion and spent way too much money on clothes (in the best way) from being on Substack.

Thank you, Sita!

(I’ve also spent too much $$ in the name of being so inspired on a regular basis!! But there are worse consequences in the world!)

Same. Learned so much / spent so much BUT I do feel a lot more knowledgeable around making “better” shopping choices thanks to you ladies. Sita - I’m hoping for a solid “cafe” scouting report soon. 👀 ☕️ 👩🏻‍💻

I think I make better shopping choices too. I get exposed to so much I never would have found on my own.

Lol I’ve only been back once but didn’t connect with anyone. The same cafe is having some evening events over the next few weeks so I’m going to go to a couple. Will report back.

This was so fun to read and to get to know you a bit more, Lindsay! Being in a flow state is the absolute best 🌊

Jen, I’m so happy and inspired how you’re going after your goals. You have no idea how much I look forward to Tu and Sat 🤓.

I also see why partner with Lindsay. I got so caught up with her writing that I had to remind myself that it wasn’t you 😊. Not sure how to tag her and I hope if she reads this she sees it as a compliment.

My favorite part was Lindsay’s reminder that you just go and do things without seeking perfection. Just letting it flow. I’m pretty sure I also read something similar from you. It’s so nice to see others doing things b/c they want to without worrying about being perfect. Thank you both for encouraging others to give themselves permission in this department. Now it’s my turn to figure out what is my gut telling me about my next thing to try and just f***ing doing it!!!!

Big hug and nice to “e-meet” you Lindsay. 🌺

Yanessa, so nice to "e-meet" YOU! And thank you for the incredibly lovely comment! I'm so glad you enjoyed the post, I am so grateful to Jen for the concept and invitation to participate and ruminate on being creative!

And yes, I really believe in just f***ing doing it!!!! There is no "right" way or "one" way and who's to say we can start, stop, and pivot as many times as we want?!

xo Lindsay
